About the lab

A small lab that ships, then stays.

Wanx AI is based in Nairobi. We build production ML and software systems, and we don't disappear once the code is merged — we train the people who have to live with it.

Why we exist

Most AI projects fail after the demo, not before it

The model works. The pipeline runs. Then the team using it day to day never really adopts it, and six months later nobody remembers why it was built.

The build side

We write production software and ML systems the way we'd want to inherit them: tested, documented, and built around how a client's team actually works — not a demo built to impress once and rot afterward.

The training side

Every engagement includes hands-on training for the people who'll use what we built — not a generic "intro to AI" deck, but sessions built around their actual tools, actual data, and actual workflow.

How we work

Same process, every engagement

1

Scope honestly

We start by figuring out whether AI is actually the right tool for the problem. If it isn't, we say so before any work starts.

2

Build in the open

Regular check-ins, working software early, no black-box handoff at the end of a long silent build.

3

Train the team

Once the system works, we run practical sessions with the people who'll actually use it — role by role, on their real workflow.

4

Stay reachable

We hand over documentation and stay available for the questions that only come up once a system is in real use.
